Acrylic paint, airbrush on illustration board.This is the design for the AnimeFest 2012 Art Show badge. This character is now the established mascot for the Art Show. (YaY!)
I call her "Snow Geisha" but we will leave it up to the audience for whether she is a witch...or a ghost haunting the grounds.
I did have reference for the background but honestly I did a google image search so I don't really know the exact reference.

Her face has a very unique style, but it isnΒ΄t done wrong in a technical sense. And I think the way you did the kimono and her umbrella are super awesome!

thanks. I think the reason so much love went into it is because I was doing it for the Art Show. Captain is the guy who runs it and he fell in love with the first one I did: [link] . He wanted this girl to be the official mascot of the Art Show. I tend to "feel" what people want when they commission a piece.
I felt my way through this one.
