At last! the sphinx sisters have arrived! these beauties are three of Crystalwings children/younglings, & isn't Sparklestar a little butter-ball!!! X3 to many squeee's to count! I'm hoping to include them in my fanfic somewhere, no doutb they'll add a nice flavour to the mix!

THE SPHINX SISTERS:

SHADOWSTAR

Gender: femme
Fraction: Autobot
Function: Scout/warrior
Alt mode: none
Primary weapon: tail-stinger, shoulder guns, claws, teeth

PROFILE:
The eldest of the sphinx sisters, Shadowstar is the most lethal of the three, cold, cunning, and aggressively unpredictable, Shadowstar is ruthless on the battlefield, not surprisingly most Autobots tend to mistake her for a former Decepticon (if not a Decepticon outright!). She’s a loner and much prefers to work alone, the only other Autobots she would ever tolerate are her mother Crystalwing & her sisters and brothers, anyone else she frowns down upon as being inferior or not being competent enough to get the job done properly. Away from the battlefield Shadowstar is equality as cold and curt to her fellow Autobots, not surprisingly she doesn’t make many friends & is either feared or snubbed at in the training room. Unlike her mother & siblings, Shadowstar detests being around humans, as far as she’s concerned their “not good for anything but cannon fodder that goes squish rather than crunch” as she likes to put it, unsurprisingly, she’s not particularly popular with the Autobot guardians who have human charges.

But beneath her ice queen appearance is a broken-spark femme who hasn’t allowed herself to feel her true feelings in a long time. After witnessing her father die at the hands of the Decepticons, Shadowstar has carried around bitter feelings of anger & hurt. Somehow the trauma of the event had affected her telepathic connection to her mother and since that time she has learnt to shield her mind from her mother and siblings and keep her pent up emotions to herself (not surprisingly her mother has been worried to no end). But the partially severed connection only served to affect other aspects of her mind, such as her reason; Shadowstar is persistently stubborn and often comes to blows with her fellow Autobots over all kind of subjects. Her long suffering siblings are the only ones that will allow her the space she needs, but her inability to grieve and mourn her father’s passing will only serve to make her present mental state even worse, only time will tell if she is able to confront her feelings and move on, for now, her sisters Sparklestar and Shiningstar follow her around everywhere and she usually ends up being dragged along in the end. Despite her negativity, she cares for her family in her own way, but isn’t good at showing it very well.

SPARKLESTAR

Function: none yet, but has said she wants to be an ‘Humanologst’
Alt mode: none
Primary weapon: claws

PROFILE:

A far far cry from her negative sister Shadowstar and her laidback sister Shiningstar, Sparklestar is the little positive, happy, bouncy, bubbly, curious edition to Crystalwing’s family. Because she’s still very young Sparklestar doesn’t have any primary weapons and therefore can’t be allowed out of her mother’s chest compartment when on missions, but when the family manage to have some downtime, she’s out like a shot and either wants to play or go off exploring anything & everywhere, her endless curiosity never fails to lead her in an awkward or risky situation & often has to be bailed out by her sisters or mother, but her positive and cherry outlook on life always keeps her going, even her sister Shadowstar’s attitude never gets her down! (Much to her eldest sister’s annoyance). Ever since coming to earth and learning about the native humans, Sparklestar has practically gone native; she can’t get enough of the humans and their various cultures and curiosities, she’s reads about them, listens to their music, studies’ their history and makes whatever excuse she can to go and see one of their city’s or towns, not surprisingly she’s made friends very quickly with the Autobot’s human charges and will spend as much time as possible hanging out with them.

Aside from her positive attitude, Sparklestar can be stubborn at times and is prone to sulking or throwing a small tantrum if she doesn’t get what she wants. She loves her siblings but sometimes end up falling out with them if they don’t want to play with her; she’s very impatient and hates having to wait for anything, her impatience often makes her unwilling to listen to reason, but then again she is still very young for a cybertronian, in human terms she would be the equivalent of a 5-7 year old.

SHININGSTAR

Function: Scout/warrior

Primary weapon: tail-stinger, shoulder guns, claws, teeth

PROFILE:

The most even-minded of the three sisters, Shiningstar is the more laidback, calmer individual whose personality acts as an equalizer between her eldest and younger sister’s extreme contrasting personalities. Shiningstar is as happy-go-lucky as Sparklestar but is as serious and committed as Shadowstar when on the battlefield, but unlike her sister, she likes to taunt her opponents with humorous quips and jokes. But when she’s not fighting Decepticons alongside her siblings; Shiningstar likes nothing better than to either find a nice patch of sunlight in which to curl up and snooze in or go off exploring somewhere with her little sister. Shiningstar is just as curious about humans & likes to explore their world; she particularly loves their music and is fascinated by their cultural eccentricities, she has a ‘have-a-go-rather-than-never-know’ attitude and is often willing to try new things in order to experience what their like, much to her mother’s amusement and her elder sister’s distain.

Despite her out-going attitude and open mindedness, Shiningstar does have a serious side; she often worries for her sister Shadowstar as she can sense their telepathic connection is not what it should be, quite often she will try to convince her sister to join the family for some quality time together or to come along with her and Sparklestar whenever they go somewhere new, either way, she tries to understand her sisters emotional predicament & tries to offer her words of comfort, to which Shadowstar often (secretly) disregards, but she still tries all the same. Equally with Sparklestar, Shiningstar tries to be the voice of reason for her sister’s zealousness, she tries to translate complicated subjects into something her sister’s simply young mind would understand & often she follows after her as she goes of exploring and is always there to try & help her out of trouble. Without Shiningstar’s patience, open-mindedness and reason, it would be apparent the trio wouldn’t work; she’s the glue that holds her sisters together and the soothing balm to their extreme (& sometimes turbulent) relationship.
