I had the same situation with a sunrise. Took a few really quick shots before heading off to psychology. Not to mention it was freezing cold outside and I didn't think to put on a jacket.

Me too. It's too bad I couldn't get to a higher spot to get just the sky. The trees weren't too bad since they turned out to be nearly jet black.

Yup. And there weren't too many power lines. Neighbor's garage/shop got in some of the way.

Yeah. I'm actually about. half a mile away from a butte. But it's uphill. By the time I would have gotten to the summit the sun would be in the middle of the sky >>

Yeah. We got a bit of snow last year, well for a day. It was gone within 24 hours.

so you're in a warmer area then? I'm in northern Arizona...the other half of the state is experiencing highs in the mid 70s. Our high is....around 40 lol

Ah, we're wet year round, I'm in the North West part of Oregon. It rains. A lot. But summers are pretty hot, probably not as hot as some parts of Arizona though
