Description: ·To start off, she has an average colored pelt. Not to be mistaken with the king cheetah, her spots instead were the form of another cheetah species genetic mutation which made them blotchy. Her front paws are a cream color. Her tail has a wavy brown and cream pattern with a brown and cream tail tip. She has light brown hair at the top of her head which covers the top of her eyes. It leads down to her back as back mane. Her nose is unusually pink and >her ears are a much lighter tone. She has a nick in her right ear that is clearly visible. Her eyes are a light icy blue with markings on top that are not really visible. She has a brown chin as well.

/shy/: She isn't social. At all. She has a massive "personal bubble" in which she doesn't like bein disturbed. She'll even get a bit aggressie to stay away from others sometimes. It's not her fault, though. She jut never grew up around other cats.

/low self esteem/: She isn't confident and she has absolutely no trust in herself. Sometimes she feels like a deer in headlights when someone "important" talks to her. Although, she doesn't try robbing her esteem from others. She's very hesitant and is afraid she'll do something wrong and upset other people. She might not talk alot but the word she says most often is "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..."

/quiet/: She won't speak unless spoken to. If she does speak, it's very little. If she does speak, it is very quietly. She has a very small personality, all in all, and she wants it to stay that way.

/sneaky/: sly as a fox, she slips her way in and out of any situation. She just doesn't want to face it. She'll do things to keep her from facing others and talking. But if all else fails, she has to do what she has to do, and that means being aggressive.

/secretly soft and caring/:You know that old saying how everyone has a soft spot? This is Akita's. She knows that deep down beyond her self defensiveness and anti-sociality, she can be warm and gentle. If you listen softly whenshis at eer msst content, she will even purr.

/claustrophobic/: Like it Or not, Akita cannot handle tight spaces at all. She will loose her mind corrupted in a small area like a treehole. Perhaps she did loose her mind for a tiny bit when she was in that hole for a while.

Backstory

Akita never knew where she was born or who her parents were. Maybe she was half-tribe. Maybe she was just abandoned by some insane parent. No one knows for sure. All Akita knew was that she was abandoned and thrown in a stream to die. But, miraculously, she drifted over to the river's banks and was left there with no food and no comfort for three days. She was found by a hyena and was nursed back to health. After she was fully weaned, learned to walk, and learned baisic hunting, the hyena abandoned her. Once again alone, Akita swore she would never trust anyone ever again, including herself. At this moment she developed ways of staying a secret, hunting at night and living in a burrow.

Although she was a complete secret to the tribe, they played a key role in her life. She watched them at a far distance and learned their ways. When she became the age of 8 moons, she started to mimick the battle training moves of young tyros. A little while later, she learned something from the tribe that changed her life forever: swimming. She watched the swift moves of the tribe cats and tried it herself at night. It was like her gateway to freedom. She frolicked in the streams and rivers, watching the fish drift by around her, their scales shimmering in the moonlight. Akita thought her life would be perfect for once.

But she was very wrong. After a few moons of living in solitude, Akita was trapped inside the small burrow she made as her den. She stayed trapped like so for one week, surviving off of liquids from the roots of the grass above her.

One day, as she closed her eyes and awaited death, she felt the debris on top of her begin to fall apart. She had been rescued! As she began to thank her rescuer, she realized it wasn't a cheetah. It was a hyena! Somehow, the hyena smell from her early moons must not have worn off. She got into a fight with the animal, and was bitten in the ear. She managed to fight the hyena away, and was set free from her death. But unfortuantely, her bite got infected, and she began to grow weaker and weaker by the day. Finally, she came to a choice she was afraid she would have to make: she had to turn to he tribes. They would give her the proper treatment she needed. She knew deep down she was tribe blood. She had arrived at the place she is defined to be: with strangers who she knew so well but in return never knew her.

Due to her weakness, she almost encountered death as she neared camp. Passing out, a cat named Strelka came to her aid and welcomed her into the tribe. She recovered soon enough, and was able to still slip out at night without any cat knowing so she could swim.

After several weeks of adjusting to tribe life (in the tribe), Akita decided just to keep to herself. But that all changed when she ecountered a young tyro named Matone. She realized her and Matone had much in common and they quickly became friends. Matone and her decided to be something even closer then that, though; they would be sisters. Akita decided to keep her guard up on other cheetahs, but to loosen it much. Friends were one thing, but sisters would last forever.

This wasn't Akita's last personal experience with a cheetah. She got into a full-on fight with a cheetah from the same tribe named Malaika, who tried to steal food from Akita. The cheetah soon apologized, trying to heal Akita's awful wounds with herbs dressing and trying to befriend her. Akita felt the act was strange and kept her guard up, but soon loosened her guard when the cheetah offered to hunt with her. She agreed, but soon realized how tired she was when she fell in the middle of a leap to attack a gazelle out of hunger. She quickly headed home and hoped she would not be followed. To her relief she wasn't, and decided to fall into an exhausting sleep.

It was mid-day. A lazy sun was hanging in the sky like a small ball of fire, threatening to extinguish any moment behind the thin, transparent clouds. In and out it went, its rays hardly warming anyone's back.
A she-cat hauled herself through the grass, her claws scraping the fertile soil and leaving deep gouge marks in the earth. Beads of sweat slowly dripped down her forehead, making her fur stick up in spikes. Her thin, lanky build slithered in the grass, collecting dirt on her belly as she went. Her ribs showed out clearly beneath her pelt, tight as a drum on her starving body. Her large muscles stood out in detail and her shoulder blades jabbed sideways like flint. Flies buzzed menacingly around her head. She tried meekly to shake them away, but alas, no effort was strong enough for her to rid of them. On her ear was a large, puffy notch, clearly an infected animal bite. The infection had spread to her entire body, and, if she couldn't get to the tribe of Crowded Water soon, she would die.
After many hours of dragging her weak body, she saw the think outline of the tribe's village in the distance. Her breathing quickened. She tried to quicken her pace as she rehearsed her lines: "Akita. My name is Akita. I want to be a sentry tyro until I can go on the Quest to earn my mark and my place in the tribe." Anything for food, clean water, shelter, and treatment! she thought to herself. Her vision began to blur. Yellow spots blocked out the camp. When she thought she had made it into earshot, she slumped down into the grass and gave an ear-splitting, sickening yowl that sounded like an injured animal. Well, that's what she was, wasn't she? She waited, yowling again, for help. Help of any kind or sort.
