I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW YOU KNEW WHO LIN WAS BUT WOW FFFF NOW I'M JUST OVER THE MOON! He looks so cute and you made him look so soft and adorable and and and I just wanna give him a huge hug. ;w; And you a hug too. And don't worry about being late, really. At least you got it done and with the AoH exams it couldn't be helped, sadly. And I love all those small details and accessories on the outfit by the way! They really help complicate it without making it too complex. You're so good at those little things. And your style here reminds me of Suikoden so double bonus. ;w;
Thanks, Snowy, just thank you. This is awesome.

the way you blend you shades would be great to know, if i try to blend my shades in they look all smudgey and stuff, it's really frustrating.....

Well one of the first things I should say, is that I don't use the smudge tool. What I do is pick a shade color, and start shading with a default PS brush with the size jitter and the Opacity jitter set to pen pressure. You can blend the colours equally well with a brush that has soft edges or hard edges, it's just a matter of preference really (for instance, in this one, I did use a soft edge, because I wanted the colours themselves to blend more gently)
The actually blending is just a case of using the eye dropper tool (and is handily reached with the simple shortcut of the Alt key!) Eyedrop the middle color where the shade meets the flat colors and then blend them together!
This one has a pretty good example of it - and it might be fun to try some of the things that they do too! xD [link]
I thought I had a tutorial around that described the blending process in detail, but I can't seem to find it at the moment... c:

I'm pretty sure any PS will be fine - but if you prefer using SAI then you should search DA for some good colouring tutorials. :>
I don't actually use SAI! xD

That actually sounds pretty interesting. Not... medically logical, but interesting. Willing suspension of disbelief and all.
