Well, that was fast. Yeah, Braixen don't have the best physical defense in the world. Anyways, what Lin Lin was really doing at the start there was a move called Payback, which is a technique that works well if you move after the opponent hits you with an attack. I took a bit of creative liberty with this, even though this move could easily be replaced with Counter or Vital Throw. Although, I had a bit of a hard time illustrating Lin Lin's ultimate move here (I used a picture of a Throh using Storm Throw in the Pokemon Adventures manga series as a loose reference). Also, some trivia: while battling, Lin Lin is ambidextrous and can use both hands to fight. Aside from that, she's mostly right-handed.

Regardless, Storm Throw is a move only a select few Pokemon have the power to learn, and with Mold Breaker as Lin Lin's passive ability, it will break through Shell Armor and the like and always result in a critical hit (unless Lucky Chant is active). And using a stick as a melee weapon? Of course Xavier is going to go down after something like that. Aside from Magic Room, Xavier is mostly offensive and has very little defense. All in all, a very short battle.
