I like both of these. Normally full-saturation colours are hard to use well, but you manage that here. And the eyes and eyelashes are made beautifully 'ere, as is that muzzle. You even managed to preserve the same kind of opacity as the traditional one has. With better lighting and a better camera the traditional one would've probably come out ahead, but both are sweet in different and yet similar ways. Good job, and do keep it up!
