Well, I'm stuck at home since my car chose today not to start and I'm pretty much iced in anyway GDI Gave me plenty of time to finish this since I have been letting it age for a couple weeks.

Heading on over to Hazel-rah's Dog-and-Horse Draghunt . I was feeling nice so Lou gets to have a day to herself, just her and her dogs. It could only be better for her if she had a horse that could consistently clear obstacles over 3.5 ft., or that didn't run her medical bill up each time she rides him, but I plan to fix that for her... eventually.

Her day had started with a mild case of butterflies, every new event always did. A few well meaning individuals had generously offered to let her have a nip of their bottled bravado when they saw she had brought none of her own. Lou-Ann had smiled politely to hide the nervous tic at the corner of her eye and declined. She had been leery of anything alcoholic since the last time, and rightfully so.

But her being sober didn't stop her from being social. As the hunt started she had hung back with the slower pairs taking the event at a relaxed pace. Relaxed because she had trailered Dolly here alone, by herself. A well placed call home minutes before the start had assured her that she would be happily alone, surrounded by normal people until she made the drive back to where she had left the rabid weasels that plagued her life scurrying about in a rush to finish winterizing everything.

Lou drew in a bracing breath of Fall air and released it, steaming her nose and fogging the air. The nervous smile smoothed away into a real one as she turned to one of the riders behind her to strike up a conversation about nothing at all.
