Description Wanted to work on side views and lighting in this one! Hopefully it looks ok?

I've never drawn a kimono either, I hope it's culturally accurate....

I think I'm getting better at clothes shading too, which is something I'm quite proud of! (^ v ^)*

However I might need to work more on backgrounds, it's a bit simple in my opinion and I could probably have done a lot more.

What do you guys think?

Thank you so much! I can totally see what you mean by the umbrella- it doesn't interact with the hair at all which makes it seem a little unnatural. I'll keep that in mind in the future!Β *\(> w <)/*

Also your English is fine, I can understand what you mean!

Thank you so much! (^ _ ^)/

However I'm not too clear what you mean by tips and/or constructive criticism, could you perhaps explain it better?

Of course! Just tips or tricks to get better. And constructive criticism, just telling me what should i do to make my art better ^^ you don't have to. Have a lovely day!

Ohhhh I see ^^

Honestly my advice is to try to combine learning the basics with drawing the things you love. That way you'll be able to learn more, as well as enjoy what you create. Another thing is to just set little goals for yourself in each drawing, and try to accomplish the things you want to do one at a time.

You could also take a look at how some of your favourite artists do their art, by just browsing through their artworks or watching speedpaints if they have them, and see how they create their artworks. This can help you understand the process in which they do their work, and you can implement some of the things they do with your work/ art style!

Sorry I'm utterly hopeless at explaining things, but hopefully this helps you a bit! <3
