Man, this weekend has been busy. Haven't actually been able to draw these past two days (too busy fan hunting for my family. It' hot as hell here!).Here is this week's One Minute Melee, our first New Challenger battle of the season. Today we have a battle of two often villainous characters who are also the clones of two prominent Nintendo heroes who were introduced in the same year (the characters they are based on, not these of course). On one side, the doppelganger of the Mirror of Truth and clone of Kid Icarus' Pit, Dark Pit, on the other, the Phazon created copy and clone of Metroid's Samus Aran, Dark Samus.
Pretty simple why this match up. I mean both of them are clones of two main characters who happen to have Dark in their name. Heck, the fact that they are both Echo Fighters in Smash Ultimate just adds to the similarities and reasons to pit them against each other. I'm sure others have also thought about this fight.
Who would win, well, both of them have some really powerful attacks and weapons at their disposal. But if we are being perfectly honest here, I doubt Dark Pit will be able to do anything if he gets hit with a Phazon blast. Dark Samus should have an easier time taking him out than Dark Pit taking Dark Samus out.
Next OMM idea: Sometimes the best weapon in battle, is your friends! Oh, and some pretty cool blades work also.
