Description           Crunch! Crunch! Crunch!
White snow boots, lined on the inside with a tan lambskin and a brown rubbery bottom, walked along over white snow leaving imprints, making a path where they go.
          Crunch! Crunch! Crunch!
Thick, black snow-pant legs covered the top of the boots. At the top of the snow pants, a small red heart sat on the right hip, with the initials "M.L." in the middle, signifying that it was from the Max Lover collection. A jet black tail extended from a hole in the back. Slender, with a shine despite low light, turquoise-aquamarine quills were on the bottom-back of the tail.
          Crunch! Crunch! Crunch!
A thick, white coat covered the top of the snow pants. Threaded string along the outside of the coat created a bulgy diamond pattern. The inside of the coat was lined with a tan lambskin, similar to the boots. Hidden under the coat was a black long-sleeve, a large red rose covering most of the front. White gloves, the cuffs covered by the coat sleeves, were at the ends of the coat's arms.
          Crunch! Crunch! Crunch!
A light snowfall fell as a black, upright walking panther-like creature walked along. Her tail was held up, hovering over the snow. She looked around, trying to make out another person, but her eyesight was cut off by combination of frost-haze and snow after only fifteen feet.
"I should be near..." she thought to herself. Looking forward again, she saw a few trees beginning to appear.
"So I am nearly..." Her thoughts faded away as the picture of a brown, canid face with stunning green eyes and glasses appeared in her head. She immediately blushed, and she could feel her cheeks growing hot. She was going to go meet him.
Hey, Sablier!" He'd called to her earlier in the day. His voice was clear and confident as he spoke. When she turned to say 'hi', a very light pink blush on her cheeks, she saw he was wearing his signature outfit. Brown pants with brown leather-like shoes, a black undershirt with a darker-brown jacket, and a satchel slung across his chest, the pouch resting at his side.
"Hello, Hade!" She called back to him. Hade was jogging over to her.
"I wanted to ask if you'd meet me later." He said, his coyote-like tail going at a light wag.
"Where?" Sablier asked, her blush darkening. She turned and began walking to conceal it.
Following her, Hade responded, "At the park. Tonight. After dark." It was quiet for a few moments, so Hade continued, "I've told you I'm a night person, and I love stargazing. It's a full moon tonight, but there's also a meteor shower. I thought you might want to see it."
"Who else are you inviting?" Sablier asked, not slowing her pace.
"It'll be just you and me." Hade told her.
"Just me and you...?" Sablier thought. Her blush didn't deepen, but she felt a happy feeling inside.
Sablier shook her head, clearing her head of the day's memories. She'd spaced out and not paid attention where she walked. Looking around, she saw a swingset not ten feet from her. The snowfall had stopped. The clouds overhead began breaking up, and the moon was partly showing. She walked to the swingset and past it.
"I'm at the park's playground, he should be near here..." She thought to herself. He wasn't near the swings, nor the slide when she looked. She checked the dizzy-dial as it was called, which was a giant plate that spun with metal poles jutting out of it to hold onto.
     "Sablier! Is that you?"
Her ear twitched as she heard Hade's voice. She looked to her left and saw only the back of the bench.
"Hade? Where are you?" Sablier asked, looking towards the bench. Hade's hand popped up from behind the back of the bench.
"I'm right here. I'm laying down." He said. He was able to be seen after sitting up. He looked at Sablier with a smile, and said, "I'm glad you came!"
Sablier returned a smile, and walked over to the bench. Looking at Hade, she noticed his outfit hadn't changed except for--what looked like--slightly thicker pants. "Aren't you cold?" Sablier asked him.
"No. I don't get cold easily." Hade replied. He then scooted over, making room for Sablier to sit comfortably. She sat down, wrapping her tail around onto her lap.
"It's a nice night..." Sablier said, staring up at the sky. The clouds were breaking up more, and parts of the night sky could be seen. "It's quiet, peaceful..." She said out loud, and added in her head, "And with you."
"It is, isn't it?" Hade responded. Sablier looked at him and he was leaning back, staring at the stars. "I can't wait until the meteor shower! I've only seen one." He added.
"I've never seen any." Sablier told him. She moved her gaze from him and looked around. The haze was clearing a bit, but not much. Nothing was moving. No wind was blowing. It was as if time had stopped moving, other than the clouds. "It's just me and him..." She thought to herself. She looked back at Hade, who had looked at her already.
"What're you thinking about?" He asked her. His gaze was calm and collect.
"O-Oh, uhm..." She began to blush. "Nothing, but... do you have... Is there anyone you like? At school, or anywhere, really?" She asked, nervous about the question. She was afraid of what the answer might be. She regretted the question before she got an answer.
"Actually..." Hade began, pausing for a moment. "There's no one I like in particular, but there is someone I think I might be starting to." He said. He was staring at the stars again when he answered. He returned his gaze to Sablier and returned the question. "What about you?"
"There's someone... that I really like." She said. Seeing the encouraging face on Hade, she continued, "He's taller than me by a bit, very handsome and kind..." She said, being vague. "I've been friends with him for years." She added, Hade staying silent.
"Do I know him?" Hade asked after a pause, thinking of who it might be.
"Yes, you do." Sablier replied. She looked back to the sky. "He has black glasses..." She added to the details.
Hade had a thoughtful look on his face as he guessed who Sablier might like. "Are you talking about Andrew? But he isn't too tall..."
Sablier saw a flicker in the sky, and it was followed by a streak of light. The first meteorite fell. "This is my change..." She thought to herself. "He's..." She said softly. She looked at him, at his eyes, and put her hands onto his shoulders. Her face was red, and she planted her lips of his. She held there for many moments. Pulling back, she saw that Hade's face was also hot with blush and had a shocked expression.
"He's... you." She finished, and looked up towards the sky for a moment. Unlike she'd hoped, the meteor shower hadn't begun. "I-I was... hoping the meteor shower would start... like they do in the movies, when people kiss..." She said, disheartened.
"It's a good thing it didn't." Hade said in a light tone, a happy and caring expression on his face. He put his arm around Sablier and pulled her close to him. "It would've been really corny, and..." He kissed her on the forehead, saying all that need be said to tell her how he feels back. "We wouldn't have been able to watch it all, together."
