Shadow, there, on the ground,
Always silent, not a sound,
You always seem to be profound,
So why DO you stay on the ground?

You're always there when I need a firend,
You never hurt, nor need amend,
You stick with me until the end,
So why NOT live and be my friend?

You always cower from the light,
Acting like it would start your plight,
To avoid it, you would surely fight,
So why DO you cower from the light?

You always, at day, turn from the sun
Seeming, almost, as if you shun,
Still though, you follow, and have some fun,
