Rinoa Heartilly from Final Fantasy VIIIJust recently I began playing FFVIII again. The first time I accidentally overwrote my good file after I finished all the sidequests, so I gave up on it T_T Actually this time I've stopped at around the same place >< got kinda frustrated with pursuing a perfect game... still really addicting and hehe the romance driven story =]
Anyway, Rinoa's fun to draw
But my favorite character is Laguna ^^ his story made me laugh, but visiting Winhill was also sad
What's your favorite FF game? (I've started 5 and 6, and tried 9 a long time ago) ppl say 6 is really good and I didn't used to care about graphics but the earlier games don't look as nice >< And for the higher games, the emulator's not so great
Speaking of games, I just finished Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth
love the theme for YatagarasuWhich other Ace Attorney game is most worth playing?
(I think the only other game I've ever finished was Mario Tennis Power Tour XD)

I think FF6 has a really interesting storyline, though at first it can seem a bit slow and dull, and also, despite having so many characters you come to like them all (well at least I did :9) since everyone have their own story and reasons to fight and the game does a good job showing this to players... and finally I think the game system is great, every character has unique abilities and in the end everyone can use magic, and there are lots of weapons and armor, etc.. The only thing I didnt like about this game was the high rate of encounters, it seemed like there was a battle after every step taken and it can get really really boring and frustrating, fortunately, later in the game you get a relic that avoid encounters
FF7 is also a great game and my favorite one. As you may know it's very popular and has some sequels and prequels, but to be honest the original game is the best, I didnt like the other games or the movie that much, it's just that some people cant stand the old game's graphics and they snub it just for that. I really cant understand how there can be people who say they like the movie or Crisis core when they havent played FF7, and even worst, when they dont like it.

Yeah, and she wasn't a crap character or anything. She's just not as cool as say Terra or Celeste or Aerith or Tifa. Heh. Or like Rydia and Rosa. Those two were some class characters.

yeah gotta agree ffvii (don't know 4 and 6 very well) has more memorable characters overall
I mean in 8, I found besides ppl in Laguna's generation, the main characters just don't have much of a story to them

I felt that way too. There was storyline, but it was kind of thin. The backstories in FFVII were much more intricately laid, and interesting. And I agree about the characters from Laguna's timeline.

yeah VIII was my first and favorite, I've played them all except III for the DS.

The only other ones I've play for a while were VI, VII, and IX. Gotta say the battle system in VIII is the most fun. I like how it's kinda complicated and I always get caught up with trying to complete my magic stock XD
wow just spent so many hours getting the 'ultimate' weapons

that brings back memories trying to get all the materials for the Ultimate weapons.
oh man there is a lot of good ones, lots of good stories. if you go back to V and don't mind the graphics lol you'll find it has a nice story with a great battle system. In this one there is over 20 different jobs that the characters can change into, from whitemage to samurai, not to mention the hilarious characters.
XII was nice to play too, I think that offered the most freedom of all the rest one player games. the battle system was taken from XI where it was more in real time. to level you had to choose from a vast list of different abilities or attributes, for example you could have one character just focus on a black magic build or healing build. the story was decent too.

I've only played FFX (since I'm such a zelda fan) but it was lots of fun <3 addicting...the side characters are very interesting (not so much the main character lol) and it certainly has romance, especially later on. I'm not the type to finish games either, but I finished that one (it took like 100 hours?? XD)

I think FFVIII had my favorite mix of anime and realism

Yeah I love Zelda too! the gameplay is more fun and sometimes the puzzles are challenging! only problem is no real story =[ though I've only played the GBA games so I'm probably generalizing
I tend to like the side characters too! like in 8, I like Laguna's story the most (though he's pretty important), and in 7 I like Vincent's story. But the good thing about these two is that Squall and Cloud are pretty awesome too
I think I should take games a bit less seriously cuz I'm not done ff8 and already at almost 100 hrs T___T fail

The only FF game I own is Final Fantasy X lol XD I'm playing it again since I first played it when I was 9 and made some mistakes and named some characters/ aeons odd names (I named Tidus "Cloud" because I was told by someone all the main charcters in FF are called "Cloud" so I thought Tidus was a fake name or something XD I don't understand my 9-year old logic OTL) so I'm attempting to make a better file~ =w=

I never played FFVIII, always wondered if it's good, seems like it is ;3 Wanted to try VII one day but now I only have xBox so it's impossible -__- Played FFIX which was a lot of fun!! But love FFX the most, you should definitely try it one day!! *A*

dunno if it's actually true, but when I played 9, it wasn't as fun as 8 cuz the game did too much for you (though I only played 1 disc of 9 so I can't be sure)... maybe 13 is like that?
you can always try 8 on emulator... the battles in there get pretty lengthy cuz you have to draw magic from your enemy so you spend lots of turns drawing instead of attacking XD I haven't played 7 or any higher than 9 so I don't know about their battle systems, but 8 was 'complicated' in that you have to junction
8 might not be as epic as some other ones, but I love all the character relationships and just pretty relaxing sometimes XD
I feel like I need to try 7 some day
I don't really like tidus and yuna just from the fmvs, but that's all I'm going off by XD

In 10 I didn't liked Tidus and Yuna at all either but while playing they're much bearable and don't appear more than other main charas, so it's fine ^^ But the plot is really well done, same with battle system and other characters <3 Though as I can see it's far different from the 8th o.o
As for the battles, I actually liked when game did much for me 'cause I could enjoy watching the animation of them fighting XD But yeaah, in 13 you do as much as to choose for each round combats of charas (for ex. medic, slasher and magician etc, there's more of possibilities than just that) and than you can only play one character while other 2 are controlled fully by computer. And you just choose options, there's nothing to draw or anything, just clicking XD;; And as far as I don't mind choosing to attack or use magic or potions in other FFs, in 13th it's all too complicated and too many options you need to struggle with on time, it should be designed on easier or in some other way... -__-
I watched a film of a possible continuation of FFVII some time ago, thinking it'll tell me more about the game, plot and charas at least, but it only made me even more confused, curious and eager to try the actual game one day XD;;

It's a lot like 8, but you don't have to wait until you're almost dead to use your limit break. In all, I think it's simpler than 8 because you don't have to junction everything to actually fight.

I like the whole junctioning system, but yeah, it sucks you can't use limit breaks until your hp is low, they're so fun XD plus how the game is easier if you don't level up, it was hard to avoid battles before you get diablos encounter none ability

That's why I like vii's limit breaks better, the more you level up and the more you use them, the more powerful ones you can earn. Also, you don't have to worry about your summons taking damage and fainting.

and I'm still not used to the fact that I can use it regularly when I'm not dying haha
so do you mean the limit bar fills up faster as you level up? wow sweet
I like how you learn new limit breaks by fighting rather than getting new weapons or magazines
hehe the only summoning materia I have so far is chocobo/mog
I'd like to think 8 just has a higher level of complexity? it's so much easier to level up in 8, too bad you don't actually wanna level up XD
oh but wait, is it actually good to level up once you've gotten all the GFs and almost going to Lunatic Pandora?
