This mouse is not a baby though she looks like one; dunno what stunted her growth but she's around 4-5 months old. I dunno if you can see but she's blind in the eye closest to the camera and is going blind in the other. This mouse is damn lucky to be alive, and I've had her for far longer than I thought I was going to. Prior to me rescuing her, (an actual rescue; not just cuz she was a feeder) she was first off a runt of her litter, and only half the size she is now. She was taken from her mother too early, she was not even tall enough to reach the water bottle in her new cage. She was only prolly ok in her mum's cage cuz of the milk she was getting. I figure she musta gone without water for almost a week, and she was being picked on. She was so thin and dehydrated (not to mention tiny) I rescued her out of pity, thinking she was gonna die anyway. I saw to it the petstore owner knew and the person responsible was fired. The owner provided a water bowl, as the sisters and brothers of this white girl were not terribly big themselves. I'm amazed she survived all that and recovered as well as she has; I made damn sure she could reach water and I swear for an hour she was back and forth drinking like an alcoholic. She has recovered and is extremely trusting; I can pet her while she's inside her cage and never have to chase her to pick her up. She has much love to give despite all she's been through. My baby.
