The amazing element is the red looks a bit Orange to me (hope I am not colour blind)..probably because of the sunlight, and the wall looks like Navy Blue or Gray, two colours create high contrast. And due to the sunlight, the wooden colour on the upper left cause the reflection from it. So, they are hot, cool, and warm. Good picture. A good way to demonstrate the relationship of colours. The composition of lines and curves is simple enough to let the viewers feel very comfortable, and not mess.

I have the perfect site for you :) Check out dpreview.com , an excellent site with indepth reviews and cross-comparison with other camera models.
ISO, same with shutter-speed and aperture, has to do with controlling the amount of light emitted from the lens to the sensor on your camera. ISO is probably the easiest way to crank up the brightness of your photo, without having to risk the two other factors (shutter-speed and aperture). Basically speaking, the higher number the ISO, the brighter your photo would turn out to be. Therefore, low ISO settings are used during daytime and/or bright lighting conditions. High ISO would be for low-light conditions, such as night-time photography. Then again, you can always alter your ISO level depending on what you're shooting. For example if you want to shoot long-exposure, ie. leaving your shutter open for a long period of time and thus allowing in a lot of of light (this is usually for making photos of trails of light moving around in the darkness, which I'm pretty sure you might have come across), then, you can probably lower your ISO to compensate for the low shutter-speed, otherwise your photo would be overexposed.
Basically, to put it very simply, ISO is the quickest way to change the brightness of your photo. The downside though is the higher the ISO, the noisier your photo would turn out to be.
The best way is to just play around. Shoot manual :) You'll learn far more from personal experience than you will ever from reading all this crap from someone who has a half-naked pixelated chick as an avatar on a duck-shit-green-themed site

That should be your f-stop range, sweety :) Which is your aperture.

You n know the 24-70mm L is a about the same price and its a f/2.8, the 100mm f/2.8 macro can focus at 1cm and marcos on a DSLR can focus to infinity

Yeah :/ I do want a whole bunch of new lenses. I originally wanted the Canon 200mm f/4 macro, but I'm not too hot for that kind of aperture range :/

larger apertures result in faster shutter speeds... I though canon longest macro was 180mm?

Nah actually Canon's longest and best macro is the 200mm f/2.8, but it's hella expensive :/

I'm still pissed that I can't find where to turn on the in-built IR function on my 5D. And aperture bracketing doesn't seem to work.

That strange of the AEB not to work, were you thinking abut HDRI? WHat firmware update do you have? The IR function puzzles me too I heard that Canon DSLR have a glass over the sensor filters out IR light, because the chip is sensitive to that frequency..

Good to hear! You might want to ask the IR question in the photoforum on here, they can fix just about any problem...

I just did, although there's no photo forum, so far as I've looked. I posted it on the Art Scene forum.
Thanks for suggesting :)
