Like every picture of yours has great feel in details, this one is just outstanding.
first of all you have a great fealing with simple lines, creating a human. and then, all those golden spots. i guess you used a brush and spatter the golden color on the paper ? but thats not the point.. as i can see in the lowrez picture you bordered every spot with the BG color. What a patient character you have to be.

Yep, I splatted the gold everywhere 
And the pink border surrounding every gold spot is merely a chemical reaction; the background was still a little wet and when the turpentine-heavy gold leaf came into contact with it... the deep pink borders resulted.

remarkably creative; it reminds me of the phantom of the opera, but delivered in a wholly refreshing manner. again, i'm drawn to the gold splatters, colours (the pink and blue go very well together) and the quality of the paper. my only complaint would be the flatness of the "snowmask", which makes it rather juxtaposed to the rest of her face. but, a small detail for a great piece.

The gold is terrible to clean though.
I think I used like a whole bottle of Turpentine just to clean gold leaf off my brushes.
