Description For the second half of Drawtober, DA has a new set of prompts for artist to choose from so they can earn another badge. The prompt I chose was "Raven", the prompt for Thursday (which, appropriately, is today). Ravens often represent ancient wisdom, intelligence, and transformation. They are spectral messengers, bearing the weight of untold visions and prophetic whispers. In the annals of mythology and folklore, these ebony enigmas inhabit a realm where symbols intertwine with human imagination. However, there are plenty of people who are rather superstitious about ravens. Some folks believe that the raven is associated with loss and ill omen because of its black plumage, croaking call, and diet of carrion. It also appears as an evil symbol in demonology treatises, or so I have heard. Similarly to crows, ravens can announce death or symbolize communication with the underworld. However, I prefer to focus more on the positive symbolism of ravens, like wisdom, resilience, guidance, and survival.

This particular raven may seem ordinary at first, but it is actually a mystical psychic and has a third eye (like the one in Game of Thrones), which it uses to see into people's futures. Usually, its third eye is kept closed, but the raven will open it when predicting an individual's future. It can also look into people's past and present, and see what those people can do in order to fix their past mistakes, live in the present moment, and plan for the future. There's nothing for this raven to say "Nevermore" about. (You saw that Edgar Allen Poe reference coming, didn't you?  )
