Well this is different.
No lines! Yippee! I'm proud of myself on this picture. It actually pleases me. (And as time goes on, I spy all my flaws)

You don't even know how many times I felt like giving up on this picture. O_O
But it took me four days to make it and it slowed down any other process of other drawings, sadly. *single tear*

Anyways, enough about me and my complaints.

This is N and Touya/Black/Hilbert.
Kissing in the rain is SMEXY-ASS.
Only... they're under a white umbrella.

Okay so, just like with Pokemon Black & White's colour theme, I decided to take that theme as well. It's not emphasized in this picture, but it's definitely present.
In black version, the main boss Pokemon (you know) is called Reshiram and it contrasts with the colour black, since Reshiram is white. Since Touya or Black is based off...black, I made him holding a white umbrella because black and white are obvious contrasting colours.
I also added at the tip, Reshiram's head to emphasize this fact.

My colours used here were chosen half randomly and half specifically. I was really onto the colour blue for some reason. Not just because Touya wears a blue jacket: that was pure coincidence, I swear. But I wanted to use blue because it's my favorite colour, next to green. That sounds too simple, I know. But that's not my only reason.
So I've been thinking about colours and how people put certain meanings behind each shade, you know. Like how the colours blue and red or pink represent men and women. How green represents nature or sickness (funny how those tie, btw). How white represents purity and innocence while black represents death and darkness all over. Blue represents sadness. And that leads me to my next point.
Blue represents sadness.
It doesn't really. Not in this picture. To exact my point, I'd like to point out Pablo Piccaso's painting, "The Old Guitarist." [link]
Piccaso used the colour blue for the majority of the picture. He used blue because he was, dare I say it, blue. He was sad, depressed, morose. So he took the colour blue and used it to represent his sadness. And he made very sad pictures. The Old Guitarist was one of them.

So in my picture, I took the colour blue and negated the meaning of which: I made a very nice, pleasant and simple action in a digital painting. A kiss in the rain under an umbrella. Pretty simple, but beautiful in itself. Simplicity was another of my themes for this drawing.

Also, it's raining for a reason: it accounts to the meaning of blue: how it's meant to be sad and what not. I negated that Hollywood effect of sadness in the rain and asserted it to simplicity and joy. This is obviously a simple and happy picture.
