Objective 1

It was quite late by the time John made his way down to the pastures. The day had been exhausting, and John had, as always, come to the stables after school, desperate for some peace and quiet after the commotion that was a normal day. Normally, by then, lessons were already finished, but the boy busied himself by grooming the ponies or helping around the yard as best as he could, (mostly, carrying tack to its rightful place) closely followed by Afonso who, apparently, was determined to be the boy’s constant companion.

Now, however, neither Affie nor anyone else from the staff was around, as he pushed his wheelchair through the mostly dry grass. It was starting to gain a bit of colour after the Summer’s usual drought, a few patches of green visible here and there, bursting through the older grass. John only stopped when he reached the mare now temporarily living at the stables and who would, hopefully, become a good friend in times to come.

As Gypsy grazed peacefully by the other side of the fence, though, John was doubting it a bit. Sure, the mare was calm, and nice, and seemingly well-mannered… From what he’d been told. Because really, who could be sure she would be like this when it came to him? How could he be sure the mare wouldn’t take off in the opposite direction the moment she saw the approaching two-wheeled monster? Sighing, John moved his arm to rest over the fence, his chin following suit, watching as the sun set, casting a soft yellow glow over the meadow and the mare.

He knew all the other horses. Knew what they liked, what they were afraid of, how to act around them. When it came to this mare, though, he knew nothing, which was honestly quite terrifying. Because, really, riding an unknown animal that could kill him in less than a second – yep, a bit scary. In fact… He was becoming closer and closer to just give up and have her sent back. Giving up. Yeah, that definitely sounded a lot easier. It was this same train of thought that made him change his mind – no, he’d take this to the end. He wouldn’t get better just taking the easier route, after all.

Lame story is lame... Sorry for that, guys. I've had this on my computer to upload for nearly a week now but I've been so sick that I can't think of a proper story. ):
I experimented a bit with colours and atmosphere. Thoughts? c:

That is the most epic bird ever.

Background and lighting is great, too.

I was... Yesterday I was fine but now my throat hurts and my nose is all stuffy again. It doesn't help that we go from 30ºC to 20 literally overnight!
