The wind whistled past their ears as Emma and Belfry raced through the dirt path, the sound of the stallion's hooves rhythmically hitting the ground the only thing that followed as they left the crowd behind and galloped deeper into the woods. The stallions ears were pointed sharply forward, a quiet snort marking each stride; he was working hard, yes, but he wasn't tired, still excited, still responsive and attentive. It was easy for him to get bored during a Dressage test, despite the constant transitions and flexions and bends, but any distraction was gone the moment he entered the jumping field, be it in an arena or out in the country.

Through the trees, an obstacle became visible; Emma could feel the change as the stallion's strides grew purposeful, each hoof pushing off the ground with more and more strength. She let him keep it up for a second longer, then held him in place with a gentle give and take of contact, controlling each step as they neared the obstacle. 3 - 2 - 1 - and they rose, as Belfry lifted them in the air with a strong push of his hind legs, landing safely and steadily on the other side a second later. "Good boy," Emma shouted over the wind, giving the stallion a good pat after gathering the reins, and they galloped on.

Rory mentioned a Stonehenge jump so I was like YES STONEHENGE, then checked the other entries and realised everyone had done the same. Meh. I'm still really proud of this tho ;a;
