I actually went off art from Hiromu for his height compared to Al's armor. Although he is being squished a bit by his older self lol. He was surprisingly short in the beginning XD Their older selves I guessed a bit, since I didn't have a line up of them.

Why does al have a cane? dod it happen in the manga or brotherhood? because I don't remember Al having any leg problems in the original anime

Alphonse was emaciated and had very weak muscles after being saved by Edward. During his recovery, he needs to use a cane, to reduce the amount of strain on his legs.
