i know i have a lot of things to draw, but i've suddenly come up artist's block. got a little discouraged by the amazing art on here, and not all the bad art in the work could convince me i was any good, so i brought my watercolors back out, and tried to remember back when i did serious pictures with tons of symbolism, and after getting really bothered trying to think of what to draw, i flipped through an old sketchbook and found this picture: [link]

i love that character so much, so i thought i'd do a picture about him. sadly my scanner was't big enough, some of the black pather and the horse skull ad to be cut of D: i wish it was good, but we can't get everything we want. sometimes i think i can draw, but now i see i have a lot of practice before i can really do anything special. anyway...

DEO (center) is only 20-years-old, is ready to take over the kingdom. it started 10 years earlier on the dawn of THE GREAT IMBALANCE, in which DEO's father released a toxin into the sewers of MATIS YANIS, the center and heart of the kingdom of OSGOTT, which killed all of the neutral citizens living there. he had an ulterior motive, though, for he knew the gods of the land would not simply watch their people die. help their people is exactly what they did.

CANDOR and NIGROR, the gods of life and death and rulers over MATIS YANIS, called out to the guardians of the 8 other cities, all of whom inhabited a neutral child in order to give them element and save them from the toxin. 10 children were saved, and although that was few, it was the best they could do. having been touched by the gods, although, would give the children intense powers beyond imagination as they learned to harness it. DEO's father waded over the dead bodies to the twins kept alive, newly granted with domain over life and death. his son, only ten, took the newborn boy with bright white hair into his arms, a slight feeling of jealousy over his father's affection for him. though the distraction wasn't long, as the female twin with strong black hair was snatched up by a toddler, his eyes full of strength and another breathing newborn in his other arm. DEO's father hadn't expected the other gods to become involved, he could see the intense vigor of MIKRO DASOS possessing the boy, the goddess of the woods. before he could react, the young boy was gone, faster than humanly possible. it was typical that MIKRO DASOS would achieve so much to foil him, even i the face of the panic and confusion. in no position to complain, having the key to immortality in his arms, he secreted away with the child across the seas, leaving his son behind without a word, leaving them to presume he had died.

having had a great success in their conquest to bring order to the kingdom through a tightfisted dictatorship, DEO was announced the new leader of the intense underground group, despite being only 10. wrought with anger towards his father, confusion, and sadness, DEO became drunk with the power. he grew immensely strong and clever. before long he appeared to the distraught and broken world, claiming that he would bring all the order back that was lost in THE GREAT IMBALANCE. charismatic and smart, he went everywhere, gaining strong support and love. at some point, he was i EPIT, the city of the wind element, and stole a young girl out of her bed, only to claim the next day that he was her brother, and the family she was living with had, in fact, stole her as a child from him and his late father. unable to see past his lies, CASSANDRA (left) happily was adopted into his campaign, dressed beautifully and looking happy to insist his compassion and family values. he protected her with 2 black panthers, LEAH and LYDIA, whom were able to communicate with her telepathically.

9 years after his father disappeared, a old blind master from the continent to the east, calling himself SHU (top right ((short for shuukakusha, lol))) and his bright-eyed son, full of life and optimism, CHAEL (bottom right) appeared to him, asking to work under him. it took no time for them to prove their worth as fighters and masterminds, and SHU was soon working under DEO as a second-hand man. though, DEO could never quite get himself to warm up to CHAEL. he knew immediately that this was his father and the boy of light. CANDOR had been a white fox god, and CHAEL had grown bright white fox ears and tail. while animal attributes weren't uncommon, there were no such thing as white foxes. SHU tried to convince him that in the east, white foxes were common, but the life constantly swimming in CHAEL's smile was unmistakable.

as it would seem, SHU had changed. life in the east and with CHAEL had taught him what a terrible man he had been. after 9 years of meditation, training, and finding himself, he was a good soul. though the goddess of law, OCCAECO, never sleeps, and punishes her people with great pain in exchange for their guilt. after 4 years of damning pain, SHU was left blind and full of guilt. he used the next years of his transition to improve is soul and learn to live with his handicap. he gave his pride, CHAEL, over to the one-armed teacher MAEH, a genius whom taught self defense only to the most worthy, those being CHAEL and his closest friend, RIH. the two were inseparable, and when CHAEL had to leave to return to OSGOTT, RIH dropped his whole life to follow behind only a few months later.
