Description
This is a picture I did of a blue-spotted stingray. These fish are related to the shark family and are particularly known for their flat shape and the sting in its tail, hence its name. They hunt for crabs, shrimp and small fish, which they can locate via picking up electrical signals. Their sting can be fatal to humans, but will only attack if they're cornered, as they tend to want to avoid a fight. Baby blue-spotted stingrays also display the blue spots when they're born, which are warning signs for would be predators.
