This is a picture of Tina Turner. She's an American singer and actress, widely known as the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll. She emerged into prominence as the lead singer in the Ike and Tina Turner Revue. However after the marriage breakup due to her husband's abusive and domineering relationship, she divorced him and went solo where she created most of her known work.

She's sung many famous songs, such as my favourite The Best, Steamy Windows, I Don't Wanna Lose You, Private Dancer, Better Be Good to Me, River Deep - Mountain High, Addicted to Love, I Can't Stand the Rain, and many others.

She's currently 83 (her birthday was yesterday on the 26th November!), born in 1939.

One reason why I wanted to draw her wasn't just that she is one of my favourites, it's because of the wild style of hair she wears.
