Description Writers: Darrick Bachman, Craig Lewis, Alonso Ramirez Ramos, Paul Rudish, Dave Wasson

Directors: Alonso Ramirez Ramos & Dave Wasson

Date: December 9, 2016

Synopsis: "Donald wants to celebrate Christmas."

Paul Rudish has definitely helped Mickey's public image with this new series, and having a half hour Christmas special shows off even more of the show's greatness. This special takes place just before Christmas, with Donald and Daisy having to migrate to warmer climates because of the weather. However, Donald doesn't want to miss out on the Christmas celebrations, so he decides to stay in town with the rest of the gang. However, he starts feeling sick, but he tries to maintain his spirit even when his friends try to take him to a warmer place. One thing that really helps this episode's credibility is the sheer likability of everyone. Donald is just like the kid who wants to have fun with his friends despite the potential danger it brings. His friends want him to be happy, and everything they do is for his own protection, which is really sweet. There's quite a bit of emotion here that's more resonant due to the format and some pretty sweet humor to go along with it. It ends on a nice double moral on how a truly happy holiday involves spending it with people you love and not pushing yourself too far to enjoy something. We have another Christmas classic.

Here is the cast.

Chris Diamantopolous as Mickey

Tony Anselmo as Donald

Bill Farmer as Goofy

Russi Taylor as Minnie, Huey, Duey, Luey

Tress MacNeille as Daisy

John Kassir as Scrooge

Corey Burton as Professor Von Drake

I enjoyed watching this. I love Donald's story and one of the messages about Christmas. This is definitely worth watching and one I'll be watching a lot on Christmas Season. I agree with you about Paul Rudish. He has made Mickey much more interesting to watch. I hope for a fourth season of the shorts to happen and I wish Rudish the best of luck on the upcoming Halloween Special that will happen this October.

It's also worth nothing that this is probably the first time a new voice actor is doing Scrooge McDuck's voice and for the amount of time he has, he's did a great job. Here's hoping he does well in the Ducktales Reboot.

John Kassir won't voice him in the upcoming DuckTales reboot. Scoorge will be voiced by David Tennant, who is Scottish like Scoorge is.
