Hey everyone. This is SofiaBlythe2014. Welcome to the first installment of Media Brackets. Today's matchups are for 2010s DC Cartoons. I have a few rules for this:

1. Each show must have at least 1 season of 13 episodes, regardless of episode length.

2. With one exception (which I'll elaborate on), there are no YouTube series allowed. The CW DC cartoons won't be here since they're only 2 seasons with 30 minutes of content told across 5-6 episodes, and then they get edited into movies that add 15 minutes of footage. Shorts meant to tie into movies won't be allowed, such as the Batman Unlimited shorts or Lego DC Superhero Girls. If they had full seasons of 13 episodes, they qualify .

3. The one exception is the 2015 DC Superhero Girls series. That qualifies for the list since each season is at least 13 episodes. Also, I needed at least 8 cartoons to fill the list.

4. Nothing that started in the 2000s and went into the 2010s will qualify. That means shows like Batman The Brave And The Bold, which started in 2008, are not qualified.

With that out of the way, let's announce the winner. It is...... DC Superhero Girls 2019. Yeah, this was unexpected. Before I talk about the matchups and the results, let me give a brief description for some of the shows, particularly the ones I haven't talked about that much:

Young Justice: Young Justice follows the lives of teenage superheroes and sidekicks to the Justice League who are members of a fictional covert operation group referred to simply as 'the team' (focusing on Robin, Kid Flash, Superboy, Aqualad, Ms Martian, and Artemis Crock). The team's ranks greatly expand to include other members. The show aired on Cartoon Network for the first 2 seasons before moving to the DC Universe streaming service for season 3 and beyond, with less restrictions.

Harley Quinn: Harley Quinn follows her adventures after she breaks up with the Joker and her attempt to join the Legion of Doom, forming her own crew consisting of Poison Ivy, Clayface, Doctor Psycho, King Shark, and Sy Borgman. This is an adult cartoon on DC Universe.

Beware The Batman: Beware The Batman is set during Bruce Wayne's early years as the Batman, following his initial period of battling organized crime. His main allies include Alfred, Katana, Oracle, and Commissioner Gordon.

Green Lantern The Animated Series: Green Lantern focuses on Hal Jordan, Kilowog, a Red Lantern named Razer, and an AI named Aya as they to around saving the universe, mainly from Atrocitus and the Red Lanterns.

Round 1 Matchups:

Match 1: Mature DC Cartoons: Young Justice Vs Harley Quinn (2019)

Winner: Harley Quinn (2 votes) ; Young Justice got 0 votes

Match 2: Jim Krieg DC Cartoons: Green Lantern The Animated Series Vs Justice League Action

Winner: Green Lantern The Animated Series (3 votes) ; Justice League Action got 0 votes

Match 3: 2013 DC Cartoons: Teen Titans Go Vs Beware The Batman

Winner: Beware The Batman (initially a tie with both shows getting 2 votes, I brought it to 3); Teen Titans Go gets 2 votes

Match 4: DC Superhero Girls Cartoons: 2015 Vs 2019

Winner: 2019 series (5 votes); 2015 series gets 1 vote

So the round 1 matchups are quite interesting. I figured Young Justice would've gotten at least a few votes if it lost to Harley Quinn. That's not the case. It bombed in the votes, getting nothing while Harley Quinn got 2. Considering the show's acclaim and buzz, it's a surprise. The same applies to Justice League Action losing to Green Lantern. I mean, Green Lantern is more plot driven, which has more intrigue, but still. Green Lantern got 3 and Justice League Action got none. This round offered an interesting tie between Teen Titans Go and Beware The Batman. They initially tied at 2 votes before I chose to be the tiebreaker and move the latter to the next round with 3 votes. I usually check my results at 5:55 am in order to make sure they're as final as they could be before I make my choice when there's a tie. The 2019 DC Superhero Girls series winning over the 2015 series is not surprising given the buzz it got before premiering. There was at least more of a chance here, with the 2015 series getting 1 vote and the 2019 series with 5 votes.

Round 2 Matchups:

Match 1: Green Lantern The Animated Series Vs Harley Quinn

Winner: Green Lantern The Animated Series gets 2 votes while Harley Quinn gets 1 vote. It was initially a tie with both shows getting 1 vote each, and I was the tie breaker.

Match 2: Beware The Batman Vs DC Superhero Girls 2019

Winner: DC Superhero Girls 2019 (both shows initially tied at 4 votes, but I brought DCSHG to 5 when breaking the tie)

The results of the round 2 matchups were really interesting. Both of them had ties. Harley Quinn and Green Lantern each got 1 before I voted for the latter, and bumped it to 2. An interesting thing to note is how this was really down to the wire. For most of the first day of this roundup, Harley's 1 vote dominated the poll, even as I went to bed. Eventually, when I checked the poll, it was initially that, but then at 5:56 am, I got 1 vote for Green Lantern. The Beware The Batman and DC Superhero Girls matchups were more balanced, with each show getting 4 votes. I then voted for the latter and bumped it up to 5.

The voting here was definitely interesting. There really seemed to be support for DC Superhero Girls 2019 what with getting 5 votes while Green Lantern got 2. I mean, 5 minutes after I put up the poll, I got 2 votes right away. It took until later in the day for Green Lantern to get any votes. I figured it would've been more evenly matched like the Beware The Batman poll.
