i've never liked small dogs, i'm more into the bigger breeds like boxers and rottweilers, but OMG. this photo has made me think otherwise. ;~;

Quite honestly, I'm not a fan of small dogs either...Only Dachshunds. In the past I've had a Rottweiler, Irish wolfhound, and a large Lab mix, though handling everything from Chihuahuas to Great Danes.
Dachshunds aren't your typical "small dog" though...only their size makes them so.

The sun was in a disagreeable position...
He just happened to be like 4cm in the shadow to go over his eyes. I thought the same about him looking somewhat dead, but I guarantee you, he's very much alive in that photo lol ><
