Continuation of Crash!

This must be Glitterdale.

Beautiful. A city built in the forest. Not unlike what the elves do. Although the gnomes use stone.
So do humans, of course, but we would have felled the trees.
And not cooperate with the natural order of things.
"Can I help you, Miss..."
I'm looking around then realize she's talking to me. She's also pretty tall for a gnome.
She's also pretty and that particular need has been left unsatisfied for too long. Subconsciously, I bite my lip.
"Are you okay?"
"Kohlna," I say. "My name is Kohlna and - "
"We have no need of a thievery guild in New City or anywhere in Glitterdale's territoies."
"Wait," I ask, confused. "This isn't Glitterdale?"
"This is New City," she says, her tone suggesting I'm a dolt. "State your business." She fastens a glowing amethyst dagger to an ash shaft.
"Or you'll run me through," I say, producing my dagger in my hand, quicker than any eye can perceive. "You may find that difficult."
"You did not answer my question," she says, crushing a glitterstone**in her hand, and a portal opens up in front of us, sucking us in.
Sometimes I really hate magic.
We get spat out in one of the buildings.
"Answers," she says firmly. "Now."
"I've been sent by Councilwoman Sandra - "
"If your lies are going to be that transparent, I'll just lock you up now." She reaches for another amethyst.
"Wait!" I say. "I'm telling you the truth." I hand her the satchel. "She needs your help."
That is evil.
She reaches for the gem.
"We need your help! I have been telling you the truth - "
"Sandra the Astrologer is no longer a member of the Council of Seven."
"SHE WAS WHEN SHE SENT ME!"
And.. OH SHIT!
"That," she says, looking at the satchel as if it were a nest of vipers, "is from Blackmoor. Why do you have it?"
"I've been trying to explain. Sandra sent me and the dragonrider to Blackmoor to... ahem... acquire it."
"You are the thief guildmistress," she says, coolly. "That is what you do though I suspect that was child's play."
"I see you've never experienced their hospitality," I fire back. "Nothing about Blackmoor is easy."
"What's inside?" she asks, still keeping a wary eye on the satchel.
"Martina's spellbook. We were hoping - "
"By the Tinkerer!" she exclaims. "Why didn't you say so?"
"I tried," I say exasperated. "We were hoping to end the rains in Citadel."
"It's not raining there now."
"Maybe because we hurt that bitch and her dragon."
"That was you?" she asks. Clearly I shot up in her estimation.
"Myself," I say, nodding. "Dragon and rider and a magesword we converted to our cause. And the mercenary Vilde."
"We had heard that an expeditionary team had been sent and presumably survived."
"Barely," I add. "Will you help us?"
"No."
