For me, i’d like to have as few OCs as possible so that i don’t lose track of them or get bored of them, but at the same time, i get bored of having too little OCs. I like designing and naming characters that i can create small stories with, but i don’t want to end up with 800+ OCs that i would always forget to use (in fact, if i did have 800+ OCs, most of them would be unnamed because i would eventually run out of names for them, eventhough i use a name generator most of the time😂). I’ve tried setting limits for myself, but they don’t work (last time, i’d set a limit, it was 7 OCs, but i’ve already gone waayy passed that point…i’ve got a lot of “secret” OCs, some of them might get revealed later, some might not), i’m gonna try one last time to set a limit for myself, which is gonna be 20 OCs max, if this limit doesn’t work then i’ll just go with plan B and have 2 groups of OCs, one is gonna be my “official OCs” and the other is gonna be my “throwaway” OCs. The official(ish) ones are the ones that i’ll most likely keep, and as the name suggests, the throwaways are just gonna be OCs that i keep secret (or might include in a few art pieces, but not release a refsheet of). Aaannddd! If plan B doesn’t work either, then just be prepared for a lot of possible future OC-bundle changes because i change my mind a lot when it comes to OCs
