Description I wanted to try and combine colored pencils

I love how you can just sit and work with them for hours and finetune all the small details. I haven't used colored pencils that much so I'm still pretty new with them. Any advice?

Materials:

Ooo. I like this one

I love how vibrant (I always love your vibrancy) and surreal the concept is!
The penguins are lovely and the overall feel is very bright and uplifting.
Super in love with hue gradient in the background from yellow, green to cyan
Marvellous job!

I love it SO jealous of your butterfly wings, the detail you put in there is really impressive. And as always your colours are brilliant!

I've used coloured pencils, but I don't think *I* could give *you* advice! Very well done.

Lovely work, those golden butterflies are so pretty!
As far as advice goes, I always recommend Bet Borgeson's book "Basic Colored Pencil Techniques" for colored pencil beginners. It has a lot of good info that's easy to apply to your art.

The pinguins are so elegant, floating, their poses looks like they were stopped right in the middle of a motion as fluent as only water creatures can perform. (I know, this sentence was probably gramatically incorrect).  And all the butterflies are so beuatifully fluttering around, full of light (these tiny spots of light are also fantastic). I`m really impressed with butterflies` wings - each pair is different and they surely costed You a lot of efforts. And I like how the colours looks "happy" - all those pure turquise and so light green and warm yellow... This picture is just amazing: )

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you like it
I was unsure if there was too much going on - too many butterflies, too many splashes and not enough focus on the whole. So it makes me really happy that you noticed the different butterfly wings

I think all this butterflies and little things and splashes and spots of light makes beautiful, fluttering effect. : D You`re welcome.
