Seriously!! (although the OP fandom in general is pretty misgynistic-sheesh)

Like, I remember people going on for WEEKS back at the very beginning of the time skip when zoro cut a ship in half how it was just like mihawk's entrance (splitting dk's ship in half) but when tashigi deflects a cannon ball (like mihawk deflected a bullet) no one says anything?? Then I swear, even time tashigi got so much as a scratch on her during punk hazard you'd have posts upon posts, upon posts on tumblr about how useless she was and how she was a waste of space (while smoker lost just as many fights as she did, had  to be saved like she did, ect, and you never heard a peep!)

Whoops! didnt mean to go on a tangent there (I just have a lot of negative feelings about the fandom sometimes)

Oh my Enel! Thank you for the rant! It has me in stitches over here laughing! Hahaha. Seriously, Smoker did lose a lot in Punk Hazard. But he put in so much effort. He cares about his men so much and so does Tashigi. She may seem too gentle but she is a very talented swordsman so she is certainly not useless. She and Smoker are two of the few people left in the Navy anymore who uphold the justice system properly. But I suppose the whole point of One Piece is that the government IS more corrupt than people believe, and that's what the Poneglyphs talk about. I hope everyone's figured out by now that the One Piece has to have something to do with the Poneglyphs. It just does. Because they contain the lost history, the history that happened BEFORE the world government rose up....I mean, the One Piece fanbase gets that right? Right? Anyway, that rant, so funny. Also, when the whole thing went down in Alubarna, I LOVED Smoker's reaction to how Tashigi was crying because they wanted to decorate them with medals for an honorable they did, which was a LIE because they DIDN'T. He straight-up yelled at his superiors because what they were doing was wrong, regardless of whether it was to keep the public believing in the government or not. In fact, may I just say the Government gets disgraced so much in the One Piece world that they are literally putting on a facade 80% of the time, and the public are all so blind to believe in them. But anyway back to these two-they uphold the proper kind of justice and I love them for it.

Oh man- I was salty when I wrote that (and I'm still pretty salty) but yeah, a good thing about one piece is that not all pirates are bad or good, and the same goes for the marines. Plus with Smoker always telling Tashigi to find her own sense of justice, it's a good lesson in avoiding 'black or white mentalities' and just blindly following your superior orders. Which is why I like Coby too. Like, idk, Oda makes some writing fumbles sometimes, but mentality-wise I do like those three a lot.

Then I guess your 'new favourite pastime' is gonna be a pretty rare sight.

I mean, he's only really screwed up like, what, twice? And then the humiliation part. I'd say once, in Dressrosa. If I was shot a bunch of times, and then carried away like he was while everyone was watching, then I'd be pretty humiliated (but I don't think he cares).

I don't think he's a loser. And I also think Tashigi is a badass character, despite what some other idiots might say.

No offense. But that's just my opinion. Both of them are great to me.

Seriously, I was soooo neutral to his character pre-punk hazard arc, and now I just love watching his plans fall through (and now i love law/luffy because i love watching luffy terrorize him XD )
