Description
My latest crochet project, a blue footed booby (Sule nebouxii)She's 18 Inches tall and measures 33 Inches from tail to beak.
She had aluminium wire in the chest and legs for support and a bag of rice for added weight. She took me about 2 months to finish, and she's for sale.

Thank you ^_^ I always do my best to get it as anatomically correct as possible, however in real life this booby has a bit of a big head and to small/short a legs, although in the picture that doesn't show at all. Maybe I've just been looking at it for too long..... O_O

this is amazing! boobies are my favorite birds because they're so specialized for their lifestyle. the colors are spot-on. i like how you used the mottled blue yarn for the face but just the plain turquoise for the feet, it makes the whole look of it very realistic.

Hi, thank you for the very nice comment. I'll let you in on a bit of a secret though, I didn't actually use mottled blue yarn for the face, I simple took one strand of the blue from the feet and added a strand of grey, et voila ^_^
