Description
Once a successful thief, Shurq was cursed with undeath by one of her victims. Death did not become her, until she was hired by Tehol Beddict. As part of the deal she was given a kind of makeover, which at least gave her a semblance of life. First appearance in Midnight Tides, the 5th book of the Malazan series. Her first words spoken? "I give no pleasure." That will change very soon.iRay render using a distant light and a few spotlights. Did some very slight retex on her face. Outrageously quick render of maybe 35 minutes.

Ah, my friend, this is from a book series called "The Malazan Book of the Fallen", an absolutely magnificent (and huge) series...it would make a great game also though! Thanks for having a look!

Very, very nice! I really like your realistic use of shadow with just a touchlight to bring out detail. I like the expression. too. It screams, "Don't f*** with me," but then, there's Ublala Pung. One nit: I tyhought she had a jewel in her forehead trhough which Selush had "reconditioned" her.

Thanks, I was pleased with how the light worked out. As for the jewel, I think she gets that after her fall from a balcony, where, on landing she punches a hole in her forehead? Not sure I'm remembering that right. In any case, IĀ imagined this was when Bugg first approaches her, pre-makeover.
