Bio: Melanie is Minoir and Bellanette's sister. She comes from Kalos, from a very well off family, the Mortrosé's.

She is a very shy and nervous Gourgeist, usually staying far away from cities and even towns. She prefers the quiet forests, where she feels more at home.

Melanie lives in a cottage house located in a deep forest back in Kalos. One of her younger siblings, a Phantump lives there too.

Melanie tends to her garden, and is great at growing berries, flowers and other plants. Because of this, she sends a lot of her produce to Pokemon Centers and towns. Her Phantump sibling helps out too with the gardening.
This means that Melanie is a hard worker, and really cares for her garden. She wears the summer hat to keep the sun out of her eyes as she works, and the trusty Sprinklotad to water her plants.

Because she's usually working outside in the bright sun, her skin is slightly darker than other Gourgeist. She loves the sun, and by using synthesis she can keep her energy up throughout the day.

You might think from this she's a very country, nature girl, but she does have a huge interest in fashion, which mostly formed as she grew up with Bellanette. The two would rummage through magazines together. While a Gourgeist can't wear much in the form of clothes, she likes to change her physical appearance, such as her dyed hair. The red highlights in her hair and thick eyelashes being two of her favourite features. She also likes her freckles, and usually tells others they add to her beauty.

Melanie didn't get along very well with Minoir growing up, and is always nervous to see her when she meets up with the two at Azure Town, the one time she will go into a densely populated area. Like Minoir however, she didn't feel like she fit in with the rest of the family, hence the reason why she moved out far away from them.

Lar is very fascinated in Melanie, as he once lived in the countryside himself. Melanie enjoys his company, and is happy to see someone else so interested in what she does.

But yes, she's a side character or 'townsfolk' character. Adding a little more backstory onto the Mortrosé family.

I've been working the past 3 days, 3 full days on all of her refs, cos uh... the anthro ones took aaaages.
But anyway, lets welcome this gourgeist with a warm smile!
