I have no idea what i was doing here. I was going for realism, but then I superimposed the sketch layer above the painting and liked it!

I LOVE your portrayal of him through that expression! He's adorable!! It really shows how he's actually doing this out of genuinely wanting to help the wasteland, but in a sadly deceived kind of generosity. He seems like a good pony, however twisted, at heart.

I like showing villains in ways that makes them look like they could be just another character. It really makes you judge characters by their actions, not their appearance, and it humanizes the crap out of them.
