Wanted to do another oekaki realism pic. Haven't done a realistic pokemon in a while. Spearow was a pretty good choice. I should try Fearow...

Wow, I really like this.
I wisI had time to really sit down and get into PS (and that I had the money to buy a tablet. . . ).
I love seeing realistic takes on pokemon!
With that said I would onlt say that I wish you had done the full body so that I could clearly see where it was and what position it's in (looks like it's standing on something. . .high in the sky. . .but nothings in sight).

Love the detail in this one, very realistic and a well done job making it so. And I also love the slight amount of action blur over the flying birds, really shows the difference of what is standing still and what is moving. Though this style of smooth color pastel is gorgeous, I might suggest adding a few lines in order to bold out the spearow, make it look even closer to the screen and also allowing it to pop even more^^ And even though your clouds are great from this style and also giving more attention to the focus point, maybe seek some cloud tutorials in order to make them even better, yet still make them not as strong so spearow stands out. Good luck and awesome job^^

Oh no, it looks better with a background. It would not look as well thought out without it. And I understand, I use photoshop so tutorials are easier to come by. But I do hope my thoughts helped in some way^^

I mainly use photoshop too. I only did this on oekaki 'cause I was on vacation plus my laptop doesn't have photoshop on it.

It is, I want to practice with this new program I heard about since I heard you can change the style of brush, like oil paint, watercolor and pastel and photoshop is more confusing in that area. Well good luck to you in both programs^^

omg I loved training my spearow. it kicked a great deal of ass after it evolved. >3
I love the almost bristly texture of the feathers. as always, great job framing and composing this. The ligh browns look really good with the blue.

You're realism is getting so good and so quickly. The painted feathery texture looks really clean and layered like you'd see in real life. I always love how you do eyes and I like the shading on the beak. Doing beaks has always been hard for me.

Yeah shading beaks are hard. Same with feathers. It still looks to much like fur. I've gotta work on that, but I didn't use a ref here 'cause I was to lazy too.
