Description Ok so here we go. This one needs A LOT of context, since the story of making this and the following is kind of funny and complicated. So, this is a cover to a small comic that was made for a collaboration zine. The zine was called, Women Loving Wildlife. It is a zine dedicated to art, short stories, and comics, about, I kid you not, lesbian anthropomorphic bugs and fish. Now, when I signed up for this, I did not know about that part, and heck, I didn't even know what 3 of those words meant.

The host was someone that I found on YouTube, named SALMONID4E, and in fact, I think they have a DeviantArt account too. I don't think they do anything anymore, but I watched their stuff, and saw that there were openings for a zine. I hadn't worked on anything at that level before, so I signed up. I'm not interested in anthropomorphic stuff, but it was an overall pleasant experience, where I met some interesting artists.

The zine was apparently gonna be printed into physical copies and then sold in SALMONID4E's local area. Us artists were told that we were gonna get a free copy of the zine as well, which never actually happened. They also never responded back, so that shits gone. We at least got a pdf of it, which I don't think I can fully show, but I'll show my bits.

Ok, so now I can say that this fully is. I made a comic for this zine called "Wallflower". I had to make some sort of romantic story featuring a bug or fish couple, so naturally I chose spiders. Neither bug or fish. What you see is meant to be a in universe poster of one of the characters, inspired by posters of Jazz singer Billie Holiday. This was meant to be a 1920's inspired setting, and such. Here is where I wanted to incorporate a little color, and so I made a sort of "lipstick" stain, that's magenta purple. That little kiss was meant to be from the other spider character that's part of the couple in the story. At the time of making this, I had come up with the names of the couple, but that's about it. The figure that's there is Lang Cidae. The name comes from "Long" and part of the Latin name for the Daddy Long Legs spider. She is supposed to be a daddy long legs.

I'll be showing the full comic 1 by 1, so if you're interested in what it actually is and the behind the scenes, stay tuned.
