Description Available as of right now, a few items I brought back from shows. No, you can't pick your gemstones but they ship asap

Sterling silver Urnes Lady Viking Necklace set with a mexican opal. No, it is not a 100% genuine mexican opal *I have some but the price would be higher.. alas* the opal is real and natural but the matrix *all around the crystal* has been enhanced and hardened so it protects the crystal and provides a shell..

I really like how they give the impression of a "portal" and shine madly... 2 picts to show you the green and blue/violet effect of this adorable stone !

US160 + 10 shipping.

Uhm, guh... Okay, not much intelligent to say about this. Too busy drooling.

I do have a question about the stone though, just out of curiosity, is there a surefire way of telling if the matrix is natural or enhanced?

Not sure way but a good nose for fakes and mostly for the way the crystal is encased in the matrix. Most of the fakes or enhanced ones will have a dark background behind the crystal when nature will mostly only provide same colour as the matrix..
The good idea with that would be to pay the enhanced at a very reasonnable price compared to the genuine natural ones. This balancing that...

Ah, I didn't really think about trying to check the color behind it. The only one I've seen in person like this was fully embeded and i couldn't tell. But the dealer was honest about it, so it wasn't an issue. It's sort of like an encase doublet I suppose. I figure if I can afford it it's been tweaked somehow I'm afraid I generally have to stick with lower end boulder opal. But it's always nice to know more about the stones I like!

BTW- this really is a stunning stone

that's gorgeous. I can't venture to ask the price, to prevent heart breakage.
