songbird21 — Custom MLP Naruto- Version 2.0

Description Here's Naruto. This is the newest version of him. The first one I made songbird21.deviantart.com/art/… was a train wreck compared to this one.

The little lines on his cheeks are whisker-like marks that he has.

His feet have been painted dark blue and given sculpted tops to give them the look of the shoes worn by Konoha ninjas. His red hoof mark is the symbol of Konoha.

His headband and fore head protector were hand made with fabric and plastic. The 'metal' part is painted with silver metalic paint and has the Konoha symbol painted in black.

Hope you guys like him. I plan on making a deluxe version at some point with sculpted clothes, but this'll do for now. ^_^\/

This is pretty fucking awesome.
Pardon my French, but really, language must be used to express just how amazing this is.
I've never been into MLP, but as a craftster I'm curious how this guy came about.
1. Do you start with a MLP from the store & repaint it, or do they actually sell blanks?
2. What are the "shoe bands" around the hooves sculpted of? I can't imagine clay working as the plastic would melt when baked, and am generally too dumbfounded to think about any way to attach clay to plastic so neatly otherwise.

Okay, I'm done gaping

Checked the tutorials out - thanks for making them and letting me know about them! If I wasn't already buried up to the neck in crafts projects that I should really be finishing, I'd totally want to tackle doing one of these just for the challenge of it.
