Continuing with my WIP shots of the gargs. This was the first in the little series. Brooklyn is my favorite, in case you couldn't tell, and the sketch was very much a labor of love. This is, by far, my favorite and best drawing of Brook.Gargoyles © Greg W.

Brooklyn looks very old in this picture.
Like he'd lived a very long and action-filled life.
Going by appearance, I'd say he's in his hundred forties.

Yes he is. Particularly in the face.
His neck is baggy under the chin and there are a couple lines right under his eyes.

He may be a little saggy, but he's not wrinkly. The lines beneath his eyes are shadow lines. And his chin is a little saggy, but this was my attempt at a 'realistic' picture. I don't believe that a creature like Brooklyn, with his beak, would have taut skin under his jaw. I draw my dragons the same way.

Very very nice! I love the muscles, especially on his torso. The face is really nice, too. Will there be a coloured version?

You bet there will! I'm filling in his missing body parts (since, obviously, the paper was too small) and after that, yeah... Color! Hopefully it will be a group photo with the trio and Bronx.

Thats what inspired me. I should have said something in the notes and forgot, but he was inspired by a few pictures..One of a realistic Goliath and another of the trio wearing more realistic loincloths (tho I can't recall if they were more realistic...). I may have both faved, but I honestly can't recall. I just kept thinking about it and thinking about it and yeah..I wanted him to be more real
