I have always wanted to try and revamp and redesign some of these characters from the Batman universe. While not complete overhauls, I want to add my own flair to them. I'm want to start a new series of MY vision of Gotham's denizens. So, yhe first up is, of course, The Joker.

My vision for him is that, he doesn't fall into the vat of chemicals. While making his escape as the Red Hood from Batman on that fateful, a beaker of chemicals falls from a shelf as he clumsily tries to run. My vision of his Red Hood helmet is very much in line with Jason Todd's version, except the eyeholes have no lenses over them. So the chemicals spilled inside the helmet, cracking the helmet a bit and pouring in through the eyeholes. The fumes of these chemicals, along with the smell of burning and melting plastic and flesh, produce some minor, but prominent, permanent psychological damage. However, these events inadvertently sharpen his vision for the kind of criminal he could become.

Thus, only his face gets burned and bleached, and also why he has a blind, blue eye. He adds additional white makeup to his skin to even out the complexion. He also applies red lip stick and dyes his own hair green.

While still stylish, I wanted to give his wardrobe more of a hipster flair rather than simply throwing him into yet another version of a purple suit.
