I don’t know how a sequel could top the 2014 “Lego Movie”, but I have a theory. While the LEGO movie reminded that you can do anything with legos because there are no rules or limits, and that glue is BAAAAD, the sequel could deal with the rules of use and safety. If you don’t know, lego pieces are edgy (sort of sharp), and are swallowible and chokable in the hands of infants and babies.
My theory for the plot is that Emmet ends up joining Johnny Thunder on a quest for lost Masterbuilders (I mean, Master Builders), because some’s device or drone targeted Emmet for unknown reasons. The villain (or villainous) would probably crave chaos & mayhem going a brick all over the place.
As for the Star Wars character Jar Jar Binks, he would either join the band of Emmet, Lost Builders, and New characters (while having a rivalry with Mr. Thunder), or be a Knock-like Wacky to the antagonist (being paired along a more serious henchman). Also, I think “R2” would be a good main character as well.
The subplots would be #1 Emmet hoping to propose to WS (Wild Style) and #2 some characters from the first movie trying to keep the city under control while no infringing on their creative rights. Speaking of which, some characters from the first film should probably or may possible not return.

With some of the lost Master Builders being Jack Stone, Dash Justice, and LEGO Island's Pepper Roni (I miss good old LEGO Island), a lot of LEGO Villains would probably join up with the new antagonist. Plus, that is a raddy cool idea

You won't believe this, but he was. I missed it to, but he has two cameos in it. One is in the shot with the Mermaid queen 9along with Superman and the 2007 Castle knights), and one sceen when he was being chased by a giant baseball.... I mena, a baseball. I can't beleive I missed both of them... something i'll correct when the DVD/Blu-Ray comes out.

I think they should include the bionicle universe, and maybe release revamps of the original 6....wishful thinking huh?

I have stated that in my "Lego Movie Sequel" picture, that Tahu and/or the Bionicles should make an appearance, even though I was never a Bionicle follower. Sadly, it might be troublesome, since the direct-to-video/dvd films are still under the rights of who made them. Hench, why only an image of the 2001 promotional media was flashed in the current LEGO Movie.
