Stress... anxiety.... worry... the feelings of overwhelmth! They are very unwholesome and actually not healthy for the body and spirit, but we have difficulty shaking those dreadful woes off. Dealing with burdens that are more than we can handle. We ask fro Jesus to take them away; sometimes he does immediately, while others (maybe most) are placed there longer or for the rest of life. Contrary to prosperity gospel teaching, Jesus did not come to take away out troubles. Actually, He came to give us peace in the minst of it all. "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30).
