This was done for 's contest! D:

This was going to be a redesign of my own Sonic Style character, but I didn't like how it was really coming out for my character. I saw that Strike was holding a "Draw Shadow" contest, so I just tweaked my own sketch and decided to make it into this! The whole thing took about 6 days (3 for the sketch, 3 for the CG). Of course, that's mainly because I was lazy and inconsistent in working on it.. oh well.

The original sketch can be found here ([link] ) if any of you are interested.. And yes, his tail is missing >_> I kind of forgot to draw it, so I had to add it in using photoshop while I was CGing n.n;

Anyways, I must say, this looks REALLY good for me! My old sonic style sketches were kind of plain and boring, but this one, I was able to put a lot more time and effort into it and it came out SO much better than I thought it would! I am REALLY pleased and happy with how this came out, both the sketch and CG. I did use LOTS of references, though. One for the pose, and some others for Shadow's overall shape. Especially his hands, shoes, gloves, and the fur on his chest.

But onto the CG in more detail, I guess.. It 5ook me long enough, but I wanted to get it as perfect as possible! ...and I was also kind of lazy, as I said before >_> I also did it in SA style shading, seeing as I felt it was appropriate, and I also haven't done a picture in that style in a long time..
