Emilia is a wimp, needs a redesign that doesn't feature a dress or ridiculous hair, and deserves the Ichigo Kurosaki or Nero voice of Johnny Bosch, not the Renton Thurston voice.

It's good that I have the ability to tune things out really well, like Zelos' voice.
My GAWD, I've never wanted to throw my TV out the window so much, before I heard his voice.
Most of the voice changes were tolerable. Zelos and Lloyd had the worst changes though.
Still have to admit that I loved the game though.

Nice to see I am not the only one who notices the mispronunciations. I am currently playing through it and I have taken to the habit of yelling at the tv screen whenver they do this. It drives me nuts. Seriously shouldn't Namco of America remember how to correctly pronounce their own cities names?! Their the ones that are in charge of the recording primarily so why didn't they correct it the first time in the game?!

It's a shame. the 'mana' bit I understand. Okay, pronounce that wrong, that makes sense. Plus, it's not an "in game" word, meaning other people may have heard it different elsewhere.

I haven't thrown anything at the tv screen yet just corrected them.
Probably the fans of the last game including us could put together of words they are mispronouncing, or at least by the way it was pronounced in the last game. Such as Palmacosta, Rheaird, Tethe'alla, Flanoir, (I've heard it pronounced two different ways while watching some clips on Youtube. One from the old TOS and another that is definitely not how I remember them pronouncing it before) just to name a few.

What I mean with Flanoir and the second way is they seem to be pronouncing the Fla part Fla like in Flam where I remember it being silent in the last game and a couple of other times they pronounced it.

The mispronunciations in this game make me cringe.
Still great dialogue/story, just...whoever was in charge of the voice directions did not study up on the first game
Gaoracchia = Gow-rake-ia
Seles = SEL-es, not SeLES (it's sad when Zelos says his own sister's name wrong)
and so on.
The voice actors, from what I've noticed, sound better later on in the game as opposed to when you first meet them. To me, anyway XD

For me, Yuan sounded horrible the first time you meet him in ToS
yes, the pronunciations are annoying. I think by the end of the game I got used to Pal-ma-cahsta *gasp* since they said it so much and I just had to let it go, it's not worth fussing over it too much. But definitely, when you hear the different pronunciations of the words/names/places for the first time, it's like nails against a chalkboard. D:

Personally, I think the only tolerable new VA is Genis. I didn't even know it had changed when I first played through; I just thought the VA was making his voice reasonably deeper because of puberty, and that it was adorable.

umm...the game is shorter, but not by too much (or maybe that's because I only did one side-quest in the old game).
I honestly think if it hadn't been rushed, the game would have been better. It's still a great game, but it's only short because of the lack of the world map (that's why I think it's shorter anyway).
And if you do all the side quests in the Katz Guild, you wont even notice the shorter story line ^.^

AND WITH HOW OOC THE MAJORITY OF THE OLD CAST IS IN THIS GAME (Regal's tolerable, Sheena's a ditz, Lloyd actually sounds REALLY REALLY SMART in most of the canon cutscenes he's in), it makes me think Bandai NEVER EVEN TOUCHED the original game. ><
