I've gotta agree, while I think it is a little strange, I don't think it's honestly that awful.  I think the 2 eye thing makes more sense anyhow, and I think his nose is cuter. ;v;

Same here. I actually prefer if Sonic had two eyes, because one cyclops eye with two pupils staring at you into oblivion is creepy as it is.
