Here's my art for Sonic's birthday.Sorry this was two months late, everyone. All summer long it felt like I was facing one delay after another.

You could do a lot better with this. Drawing with the straight line brush or the shapes tool is very lazy, and besides that, Sonic and the cake need some shading. The cake itself needs detail - otherwise it looks like a staircase or something.
The lines for the arms look too inconsistent, and the hands are bent in an awkward way. Plus the arms look too short in proportion to Sonic's size.
It looks like you mostly drew a silhouette and coloured it in, so to speak. When drawing a picture, you should draw basic shapes first and know how to draw the various body parts from different angles. I mean, I'm still working on that and I used to make some poorly-done MSPaint art myself back in the days of Windows 3.1.
But seriously, look up some art tutorials on basics like proportions, anatomy, perspective, and shapes.
