Description There is something interesting, perhaps special, about walking down a wooden pier in the winter.
The smell of the ocean and old wood can stir up memories.

Taken at the pier on the South Street Seaport in New York City, December 2004.

ohh this is great
the greenish tone makes this appears as f it were old
and what i like the most is the old guy walking on the left
also that you cant see anyones face, they all are like shadows

Thank you! I also like that about this image. you can partially see them but they are very dark.

I like this shot... what did it for me was the young tourists in the front of the picture taking a photo .

I've always wanted to go to New York! Nice image, there's a touch of the old days somehow, even though it's a modern photo. I especially like that old man walking towards the lower left corner, and that bird as well.

Thank you very much! I guess the color does give an old feeling. Yeah I agree about that man, he brings a bit of life to the image.

i think you took thos photo at the right time..catching lotsof movement and a moment with in itself.
(those 2 taking a photo at the bottom right)

i think i wouldhavelike to see this in a portriat like frame instead of the landscape form.or maybe some water

ilike it though these shots always fascinate me.
