Sadly, drawing like me doesn't yield that much cash either....neither does voice acting for that matter.

Their glasses really fascinate me XD Good job, I didn't even think it was a painting! I thought it was a photo until I looked closely. Great job.

These look like the paintings they used to have from some artist (forget his name) on the back of Readers Digest for a few years there.
The reflection in the glasses and store front and shadows in the table are simply fantastic. It's neat how this style has an almost muted palette and isn't super detailed in many respects (the hair isn't drawn piece by piece, the ashtray is simply lit) but is also incredibly detailed in the key areas which really makes those details pop. What I just wrote maybe a bit abstract as I know what I am trying to say but I think lack the artsy vocabulary to do so. Curse my lack of artistic pretension. Also now I have a sudden craving for tea *weird*.

What kind of tea?
Yeah, I love working in this style. I am currently on the hunt to find an illustrator agent. I'd love to just do these all day.

Oh any kind of tea. I'm a theic so I'll drink any kind available until I either feel ill or it runs out. During my grad school classes we would make pots of tea and take a mandatory break when the kettle needed to be refilled.
Tonight I am dying for some black tea with orange spice.
Good luck finding an agent. It would be lovely if you could spend your time doing what you enjoy. The American dream and all that idealism.

LeftWingDuck In reply to Sonion [2011-01-26 20:05:58 +0000 UTC]
Oh dear god, I adore chai. I got get some when I want to spoil myself after a good counseling session or when I've finished editing parts of my thesis. If I could have a chai pumped straight into my body through an IV I would.
Amusing side note...for the longest time my mum couldn't master the concept of chai tea and said instead tai chi. Hilarious. "Hanna why don't you run out and get us some tai chi?" Then I would collapse into a fit of giggles.
But yes chai tea is ah-mah-zing and has been in my top 5 teas for a hair over a decade now.

I think someone should create a new martial art that focuses on exaggerated techniques for making a chai tea latte. Call it chai chi. And this I'll never be a standup comedian. XD

HA! Hilarious but definitely the way it would have to work. It's the spice that gives it mass appeal as a martial art.
