I draw mostly in graphite (with its varied softness types), always complemented by some of those auxiliary tools that always help us to achieve a realistic result, like cotton swabs and plastic erasers. Well, in my gallery I do have a portrait of Amy Lee I did with soft charcoal, but I'm not yet so experienced in such medium. About my colored drawings, I do almost all of them with pastels on paper (besides some digital ones, in vectors). Here in dA I always put on the caption of my drawings a standard description of what I used on each drawing, as well as the year.Β

Well, in a pencil drawing I use a plastic eraser not only for doing the first outlines, also when I'm almost done, in places that must be brighter, that always gives it more realism because enhances the contrast of the drawing, highlights a coherent incidence of light. Moreover, a slice of the plastic eraser (as if it were a cheesecake slice, it's easier to get using an Olfa cutter), allows me, once using its thin side, to trace clear lines on dark backgrounds (like the clearest strands of a hair), as well as finer or smaller brights, if done with more pressure.
Haha, yeah, exactly that 'plan' is what originally brought me to dA: naturally to make friends, ok, but as much as to meet artists to eventually exchange ideas, tips, something about art - instead of just collecting badges, points etc., or even using this art site like it were another facebook, as we know that mainly kids in the site do...
